HMPRO Reports a Drop in 2020 Profit by 16.5% from Temporary Closure during Covid-19 Outbreak.
Home Product Center Public Company Limited (HMPRO) has reported its yearly consolidated financial statement of 2020 through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;
HMPRO reported a net profit of 5,154 million baht, decreased 16.54% from a net profit of 6,176 million baht in 2019. The decline was mainly due to lower income of 8.35% to record at 61,748 million baht in 2020 from a drop in performance of HomePro, MegaHome, HomePro S and HomePro Malaysia, caused mainly by the temporary closure of stores during Q2 and the diminished purchasing power of consumers.
In 2020, two new stores were opened at Rangsit Klong 4 and Suksawat, both of which are located in high potential areas with adequate purchasing power. By the end of 2020, there were 86 HomePro stores, 9 HomePro S stores, 14 MegaHome stores and 6 HomePro Malaysia stores.
In addition, the Board of Directors approved a dividend payment of ฿0.20/share to be paid on May 6, 2021. The ex-dividend date is April 22, 2021.
