Daily New Covid-19 Cases in Thailand Hit a Record High at 2,070 with 4 More Deaths.
Thailand reported a shocking record high of daily coronavirus cases at 2,070 and 4 more deaths on Friday, April 23, 2021, after more than a week has passed since the long holiday in mid-April.
Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) reported today that the new daily coronavirus cases spiked to 2,070 cases, which were all local transmission and another four casualties, added to the total case of 50,183 and a total of 121 deaths.
Out of 50,183 cases in Thailand, more than 30,000 cases have been recovered. Meanwhile, nearly a million people have received Covid-19 jabs.
Thailand just returned from a long holiday on 13-15 April, while some took two days off on 12 and 16 April to get a 9 days rest. The fact that coronavirus cases have been increasing and spread in many provinces might be due to many people have travelled back to their hometown during this period.
