ICHI’s 1Q21 Earnings Drop 23% to ฿121Mn from Higher Cost of Sales and Lower Export Sales
1Q21 earnings of ICHI dropped 23% to 121 million baht due to higher cost of sales and softened export sales due to the Covid-19 situation.
Ichitan Group Public Company Limited (ICHI) has announced its consolidated financial statement through the Stock Exchange of Thailand as follows;
ICHI recorded a net profit of 121 million baht in 1Q21, decreased 23.63% from a net profit of 159 million baht in 1Q20.
In 1Q21, ICHI had sales revenue of 1,287 million baht, increased 0.2% YoY. Meanwhile, domestic sales increased by 19%, which grew from RTD tea and vitamin water products as well as marketing plans that reached the target group. However, export sales decreased by 50.3% because of the new wave of Covid-19 pandemic in partner trading countries.
During the period, cost of sales were 1,065.6 million baht, equivalent to 82.7% of sales revenue, compared to 1,033.1 million baht in 1Q20, which equivalent to 80.4% of sales revenue.
