TRITN Recognizes the Revenue from AKW to Support 1Q21 Earnings amid Covid Pandemic
TRITN recorded 190 million baht of revenue in 1Q21, mainly from the operation of its new 4.9MW power plant, Aukkrarawat.
Ms. Louise Taechaubol, Chairman of The Executive Board of TRITN, disclosed that the company had a revenue recognition from Aukkrarawat Power Plants (AKW) with a production capacity of 4.90MW.
AKW is the new power plant of Triton Holding Public Company Limited (TRITN), which recently completed the construction and has been running since February 2021. The company expected an average 9 million baht of revenue per month from this plant.
In the first quarter of 2021, the company had operating income of 190.19 million baht, a decrease of 58% from the same period of last year. This was mainly due to the delays in construction and challenging operating environment amid the COVID-19 epidemic, which affected the overall business operations and the bidding process.
“Trans Thai Railway Company Limited, a subsidiary of the company, received a double track railway construction project Lopburi-Pak Nam Pho (ST8) project with a project value of 337 million baht. However, the construction project will begin in the second quarter of 2021,” said Ms. Taechaubol.
“In the second half of 2021, we will continue to achieve our target growth with a backlog of over 1 billion baht, which will begin to recognize revenues in the third and fourth quarters of this year from the construction work including the oil pipeline installation project to the North and Northeastern regions, the underground pipe laying project at Chaengwattana Road and the construction of the Southern Railway Station And for the rail system work, such as the construction of the Orange Line Railroad and the Pak Nam Pho Double Track Railway, ” she added.
