BANPU Jumps 5% as Coal Price Reaches a New High since Late 2018

The share price of Banpu Public Company Limited (BANPU) surged ฿0.60/share or 4.96% to ฿12.70/share as of 10:52 local time in Thailand on May 27, 2021, with a trading value over 1,300 million baht.

The increase followed the rising in coal prices that reached a new high at US$105.10/MT since November 2018. The rising in coal prices was higher than what analysts had anticipated at US$97.57/MT in 2021.
