Stocks in Asia market traded in a mixed session on Thursday after the Chinese Caixin/Markit services PMI in May was slower when compared to the previous quarter.
On Thursday, a private survey showed that the Chinese Caixin/Markit services Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for May came in at 55.1, which was lower than the reading of 56.3 in April. Still, the reading above 50 points shows that the sector is growing.
As of 9:47 local time in Thailand on June 3, 2021, Nikkei rose 0.38%, SSEC dropped 0.01%, HSI slipped 0.18%, ASX 200 increased 0.59% and Kospi gained 0.83%.
Yesterday, SET Index closed at 1,617.55 points, decreased 1.04 points or 0.06% with a trading value of 101 billion baht. The market is closed today for a holiday.
