As Songkran (Thai New Year) festival is drawing near, Tourism Authority of Thailand is also hoping to see more travellers visiting Thailand during this period, as well as investors who hope to see fund inflow from tourism. The Aairport of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) reported its estimation earlier that there will be an arrival of 3.21 million passengers, increased by 12.3%, between April 11-17, 2019, in all six airports (Suvarnabhumi, Don Muang, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and Hat Yai) AOT also voices its concern regarding PM 2.5 particle which is currently polluted Northern Thailand. Though the particle does not affect aviation, but travellers may decide to visit other regions instead if the situation does not get any better. Asia Wealth Securities has given a buy recommendation at a target price of ฿75.00/share along with a positive view on the opening of Duty-Free bidding by dividing into 2 contracts. Phillip Securities also give a buy recommendation at the price of ฿72.50/share while Kasikorn Securities gives AOT an outperform rating with a target price at ฿78.50/share.
